Meet the Family Behind Silk & Oak

About Us
Finding Inspiration in Every Turn
Having a large family of our own, we understand the importance of slowing down, relaxing, and reconnecting during family holidays. These are the moments when cherished memories are made—memories that stay with us for a lifetime.
As your hosts, we are passionate about providing welcoming accommodation and thoughtful hospitality, creating a place where families and friends can come together to unwind, reconnect, and enjoy quality time in a beautiful natural setting.
The Olsson family moved from New South Wales to this property in the early 1970s. The farm began as a dairy operation before transitioning to beef cattle and fodder production. Today, the property continues to be farmed by the next generation, proudly carrying on the family's farming heritage while sharing this special corner of the Scenic Rim with our guests.

The ideas behind the architecture
Silk & Oak showcases a blend of modern design and natural elements. With its sleek lines and large windows, it invites an abundance of natural light, creating a vibrant atmosphere. The use of sustainable materials reflects the owners and hosts commitment to environmental responsibility, while the thoughtfully designed spaces promote creativity and collaboration.
